Hanif is currently focuses on researching the intersection of environmental microbiology and world sustainability, particularly in the context of environmental health. His work and passion investigates how microorganisms in mangrove soil can contribute to ecosystem health and develop sustainable practices. At present, he is exploring methods to enhance microbial processes that can support bioremediation through literature reading of past journals.
Beyond his academic excellence, he is actively engaged in extracurricular activities that reflect his enthusiasm towards microbiology. He had participated in The Microbes Invention, Innovation, and Ideation Challenge (MINIC) in Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) organized by University of Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Microbiology Carnival 2023 organized by Microbiology Club of The National University of Malaysia (certified by The Malaysia Book of Records), aimed at raising awareness regarding the importance of microbial knowledge in addressing global challenges through communities.
Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and nature photography, which fuels his intellectual curiosity for environmental conservation. He is highly self-motivated and always eager to expand knowledge beyond the lecture hall.
