Ayman Ahmad Alkraiem is a lecturer in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science, Taibah University, Saudi Arabia. He is currently working on his PhD research project under the supervision of Dr. Hazlin at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Ayman has received a BSc in Microbiology from Taibah University and MSc in Microbiology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His dedication to the field is driven by a deep interest in bacteriology, particularly in the diversity, identification, and antibiotic resistance of bacteria.
Ayman’s research focuses on emerging environmental contaminants, such as antibiotic-resistant bacteria, antibiotic-resistant genes, and heavy metals in mangrove sediments. These contaminants can spread to various ecosystems, posing significant risks to human and animal health, the environment, and the economy in the future.
Ayman is eager to advance his scientific and research knowledge and skills to make a positive contribution to academia, research, and the community.
