Samuel was pursuing an MSc in Molecular Biology at the National University of Malaysia (UKM) under the supervision of Dr. Nur Hazlin Hazrin Chong. In order to better understand microbial ecology in dynamic environmental settings, his research explored how elevated carbon dioxide affects microbial community composition and function in mangrove sediments.
As a student researcher, he has gained extensive experience in microbial analysis, molecular techniques, and environmental biology.
His research attempts to illuminate microbial adaptation to atmospheric shifts by bridging the gap between molecular biology and climate science.
He is passionate about advancing research in this field and looks forward to contributing to scientific discoveries that address global environmental challenges.
