Muhammad Umar Naufal bin Zainuddin is a final-year Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Microbiology student. His final-year project focuses on the identification of dominant CAZymes involved in carbohydrate decomposition and the carbon cycle in mangrove sediments. He has a strong interest in medical microbiology, particularly in understanding microorganisms and their impact on human health and disease.

Outside of academics, his main hobby is playing games and participating in various tournaments, which helps him relax, unwind, and improve his strategic thinking and teamwork skills.
